Kate Garrett is a writer, mum, editor, witch, horror fan, history buff, and amateur folklorist, among other things. She is the founding editor of Three Drops from a Cauldron, Picaroon Poetry, and Bonnie’s Crew, and her own poetry is widely published online and in print.

Her pamphlet The Density of Salt (Indigo Dreams, 2016) was longlisted for a Saboteur Award, and she has been nominated for Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize. Kate’s second Indigo Dreams pamphlet, You’ve never seen a doomsday like it (2017) was a Poetry Book Society Winter 2017 selection, and Poetry Kit book of the month for January 2018. Her most recent chapbooks are Losing interest in the sound of petrichor (Black Light Engine Room, 2018) and Land and Sea and Turning (CWP Collective Press, 2018).

Her first full-length collection, The saint of milk and flames, is forthcoming from Rhythm & Bones Press in April 2019, and her mini pamphlet To feed my woodland bones [a changeling’s tale] will be published by Animal Heart Press in September 2019.

Born and raised in rural southern Ohio, USA, Kate moved to the UK in 1999, where she still lives in Sheffield with her husband, five children, and a sleepy cat.
