The May and June Cult Members-only Challenge – Part Two
AND THE WINNERS ARE… Well, it took a bit of judging but in the end I genuinely couldn’t split two of the wee collections, and so I was proud and pleased and mucho chuffed to discover that it is in fact Two of the Original Members of the Cult who’s work captured me, as it were.. So with no further messing around, Verily Many Congratulations to:MR DES CHILDS (#001)
and
LADY GAYNOR KANE (#004)
For winning the Challenge. Both will see their Stories of Love collections published in time for next St Valentine’s Day Thanks to everybody who joined in, as per :)
“Stories of Love”
It probably seems a long time ago, if you remember at all, but last year for the first time we ran a wee Challenge asking Cult members to put together a small collection of poems that offered Hope for 2021. The winner of that was Valerie Bence, and the pamphlet is due out very soon (in fact I know that it will definitely be in the Goody Box when you get it.)
Along the same lines then, our second May/June Challenge, is again to put together as wee pamphlet of 4-16 pages of poetry but that this time look at Stories of Love rather than Hope.
We don’t mind what the angle you come from is, but think of it as a set of poems.
The Challenge:
- Write a 4-16 pages of poetry on the Stories of Love theme.
- Email your poem in a single document to entry to: COMPETITION@HEDGEHOGPRESS.CO.UK
- Obviously this is only open to members of the Cult of the Spiny Hog
- Deadline: 30th June 2021
The Prize:
- We will publish your wee collection in time for Saint Valentine’s Day 2022.
- The winner will receive 100 copies of their collection
- Cult members will obviously receive copies too
