The February Cult Members-Only Challenge
Three years ago, when the world seemed sanerish and we were having the very first of the Cult challenges, I used to ask everybody that joins to write a Hedgehog Poem. As a tradition it was good, but has faded and I think as we approach our twelfth Goody Bag/Box, now would be a grand time to renew it.And The Winners Are… I’m pleased to say that the 25 poets who will see their work in this wee anthology, are:
- Elizabeth Barton
- Marilyn Timms
- Julie Stevens
- Victoria Mort
- Margaret Royall
- Daniel Clark
- Patricia M Osborne
- Kate Young
- Kim Whysall-Hammond
- Philippa Hatton-Lepine
- Jonathan Crabtree Parker
- Lucy Heuschen
- Mick Yates
- Ceinwen E Cariad Haydon
- Emma Lord
- David Bleiman
- Sandra Horn
- Roger Bloor
- Patricia Wooldrige
- Sarah Connor
- Jenny Robb

The Challenge:
- Write a Hedgehog Poem, but from the point of view of a hedgehog looking out at the world.
- Email your poems in a single document to entry to: COMPETITION@HEDGEHOGPRESS.CO.UK
- Obviously this is only open to members of the Cult of the Spiny Hog
- Deadline: 28th February 2021
The Prize:
- We will publish a wee anthology of the best of the Hedgehog Poems called, surprisingly, ‘The Song of the Hedgehog’
- All those included will of course receive author copies
- Cult members will obviously receive a printed copy
