Ann Sydney

I have been published in anthologies, shortlisted and runner up in short story and poetry competitions. I’ve also published nonfiction in another life.
I live close to the Bridport Arts Centre- which is the nearest I’ve got to the Bridport Prize. So far. Thank you to the members of Storytraders and the Apothecary spoken word performers, and to the encouraging friends and poets in London and now Dorset. As a lifelong socialist in a forever Tory constituency, poetry is my protest.

A particular joy has been hearing Alice Sydney saying ‘I must go home and write a poem!’
