July Challenge – Wish You Were Here

No, I don’t know why I chose this photo either

The July Challenge

Deadline For Entries: 23rd July 2019

Winners Announced: 31st July 2019
Competition: And the winner is … LUCY CRISPIN! I thought that this month we should have another chance for somebody to have one of our wee Sticklebacks of their own and this looks as good a place as any to make it happen. The Challenge then is to fill Four pages of your own with a title or theme of ‘Wish You Were Here.’ My original thought was that we should have a theme based on a holiday postcard, but I think there is a lot more scope to that phrase than that, so I will leave you to interpret things as you wish. I like surprises (and Pink Floyd) so don’t be shy. It can be four or more poems or a series, it is entirely up to you. The Prize: Our winner will see their Stickleback published both as a free PDF download and as one of our lovely Limited Edition Print Runs. They will receive 100 copies of the micro-pamphlet to sell or wallpaper walls with and if they are available be invited to come and read it at the next Hedgehog Poetry Evening. The Winner will be selected by Mark Davidson, and don’t be surprised if we end-up with more than one.

    1. Hi @Alice

I think forty lines per page is about the top although we can always do a couple of columns if they are short :)

You should be able to download all of the Sticklebacks (and everything else) we have published to date on the Hive page. There is a link on the top level of the web site menu, but basically it is this:

      https://www.hedgehogpress.co.uk/cult-library-2/

If it isn’t showing for you, let me know and I’ll burn some feathers or do a raindance or something
      cheers
      Mark
