Our Stickleback Anthologies are an occasional rarity, but always packed with excellent poetry
And so we come to the end of another year, and the slightly dreaded Pushcart nominations.
As has become a weird wee tradition, I’m pleased to say that our annual selection of (how can it possible be only) Six Poems from the collections Hedgehog has published during 2023, was as difficult as ever, but that somehow I chose between my ‘children’ and came-up with a list.
It sounds unlikely, but everybody I publish as Hedgehog is a well-loved poet, has work that I admire, and so this almost feels as though I am cheating on those that didn’t make the list, but then all is competition, all is challenge.
I love these poems in different ways, and I hope you will too..
