    Jt Smith

too much sadness to be spared in pale memories

not enough country rain as the light transformed the mind

as the volatile weather had subdued and muted the deep permafrost

lost in a forest in a matter of hours, we de-thawed like particles of carbon

the glory of a past summer’s eve awaits

how fertile boys were attracted to random bodies

while the fickle girls conspired under a midnight, crescent moon

there was no Spring to awaken the ego, only Summer to burn leftover experience

time tends to flow faster whenever moments are solitary and dim

so many opportunities to share but so jaded he had become

a long time ago, it seemed like yesterday’s blues reborn

in a rather unsettled place to be introspective

cause a good conscience knows its only home

    Jingles mingled
