Well, this is one of those beautiful wee things that sometimes happens when you publish poets and their poetry collections, as whatever you think you know sometimes isn’t the whole story and things change.
Earlier this year Carmella de Keyser had written a collection that was destined to be one of the final two of our Little Black Books, but it developed from there and I’m pleased to say that we have done something quite special with it.
The Liminal Light of the Night is the result and features not only some wonderful poetry, but a selection of Carmella’s Mother’s – Vanya Milanova’s – artwork, which perfectly captures the essence of the poems, or perhaps they of the artwork. I’ll let you decide.
Pre-orders and release dates will follow with the collection likely to be published in February, but today I am happy to share the rather beautiful cover image for your delectation.
As ever, the fettling of poetry books needs a soundtrack, and Carmella’s words dictated something truly magical and beautiful – and last year’s Extended EP from Sun’s Signature was just about perfect.
Some things are just meant to be.
