Well, I have to say that allowing artwork to be included in our publications – encouraging, even – seems to have reinvigorated things somewhat, and I am astonished at the variety and quality that has come my way in the shape of our first ‘Proper Poetry Pamphlet Competition’.
It has been really cool, I’ll say no more, and most importantly, the poetry – and it is always about the poetry – is as exciting and fresh as ever.
Of course what I didn’t think about was how much harder it would prove to judge, but judge it I must and I am pleased today to be able to unveil the Longlist, and what a list it has proven to be.
So thank you to everybody that took part, congratulations to those making the Longlist and from here, the Shortlist and then Winner will be announce in the next few days.
