“And I’m Feelin’ Good”
Over 30s First Collection Pamphlet Competition
One of the things that you can’t help noticing, is that a lot of the opportunities for first time poets are restricted to the youngsters – the under 30s.
Now don’t get me wrong, we all need the bright young things – but I can’t help but think that there are a lot of people who are either discovering poetry for the first time or coming back to it after living a life – gathering interesting experiences – who perhaps get put off by all of the youthful photos we see on the prize winning announcements.
So whilst All of our competitions are genuinely open to all, we thought that an over 30s First Collection Prize may just be a good idea, and so here we are.
I am pleased and proud to say then, that ‘I’m Feelin’ Good’ is a chance for us to find a new voice with some experience to share. A first time poet with a story to tell.
If that is you – come and join us…
Our pamphlet collection competition searches for a poet who will have their first poetry collection beautifully produced in 2024 by The Hedgehog Poetry Press.
The winner will receive 100 copies of their pamphlet and see their collection published in 2024.
