A Hog Blogs: Blimey – This Bird, It Flies Like a Disco Inferno: Dawn Gorman’s ‘The Bird Room’

Ah, some books are real slow burns, they sell the odd copy here and there for months and years and generally tick along, and then there are the other ones, those more rare ones that literally fly right from the start and to be honest, it is always a wee bit of a surprise. A nice one, but a surprise it always is.

And then you get one like Dawn Gorman’s stunning ‘The Bird Room’ which in a dozen days has already burned through the first print run and we are running around trying to get a second done as soon as possible.

I shouldn’t be surprised, it is captivating, deeply emotional and beautifully written and quite literally everybody I have put my one remaining copy in front of has been touched by it.

Luckily, I kept it handcuffed to the dog, so I still have it. It is a fierce dog.

Speaking to Dawn she has a mere handful of the first run left (so if you want a signed First of the First, you had better be quick – but the second run should be around next week too and the song remains the same.)

If you want a copy, I’d get in touch with Dawn via her web site HERE and you really won’t regret it.
