Well, I’m not sure what you can say about a debut poetry collection from a former Indie Band Songstress, but I am more than a little in love with Hilary Otto’s forthcoming collection, Zoetrope and the striking cover it will be wrapped in.
It took us a wee while to absolutely nail (or rather it took me a while to listen to Hilary) but got there we did and the slightly surreal, retro-fuzzy-disquieted-futuro-hazy-cronenberg-fantasie-blade-runner-space-oddity-esque-ness of it all, captures something or other from within that feels just about right to me.
It is class. I think that covers it.
Needless to say that the poetry is particularly special, the cover gorgeous and the whole package a treat for the mind and soul. You are going to love this, so pre-order when they open soon..
