I know that this isn’t really poetry related as such, but I am typesetting at the moment and having lived in noisy environments for ages one way or another, I always listen to music whilst I do it – mainly to drown out the neighbours.
It doesn’t always match the poetry though, but it works for me.
So today I am doing final changes (I hope) to Dawn Gorman’s rather stunning wee collection ‘The Bird Room’ which is particularly sumptuous and has some of her Dad’s photography featured within it’s walls.
This will hopefully be out soon, and more on that later, but whilst doing it I have been listening to Daughter’s latest album ‘Stereo Mind Game’ which is also many kinds of awesome and complements Dawn’s work beautifully.
Oddly I had the chance to interview the band’s guitarist Igor a few years ago and he was a lovely chap, it is nice for circles to join.
